One of my Christmas gifts this year was a 1GB USB flash drive. After using it for the past couple of weeks, I don't know how I lived without one before. I recently came across a website called PortableApps.com that modifies open source apps to run on flash drives. Firefox, Gaim, and OpenOffice are just a few of the apps you can install onto your drive and run anywhere. Now you can take your bookmarks, contacts, and office documents with you where ever you go.
